Xtreme Generosity
Xtreme Everest was formally established in March 2004, a project of the UCL Centre for Altitude, Space and Extreme Environment medicine. Since that time, Xtreme Everest has developed as an umbrella organisation that supports research into critically ill patients. Xtreme Everest exists because of the overwhelming generosity of so many organisations and individuals. These range from commercial and non-commercial companies, to charities, clubs and societies, and individuals. Some give equipment, access to resources, expertise, or time. Many give money, sometimes in the form of grants, and others buy tickets for events, or buy books. Xtreme Everest could not continue without all of this help, and we are extremely grateful to all our supporters.
The Xtreme Everest team is keen to share this generosity with others. It tries to do this through public engagement in the form of lectures and teaching sessions, through the donation of unused equipment and disposables, and through the sharing of expertise in relation to the knowledge members have gained from the research they have done.
