PLAN's latest project is a multi-centre prospective audit run with other trainee research networks around the country. It aims to evaluate the current practise of steroid supplementation during the perioperative period for patients taking exogenous steroids.

Data collection will be performed over a consecutive two-week period anytime between 26 September and 4 December 2022. All patients aged 18 years and above who are under the care of an anaesthetist (including GA, RA, sedation, monitoring) and presenting for any elective, urgent or emergency procedure, are included in the eligibility criteria.

Everyone who gets involved in this audit will receive a certificate of participation and will be listed as a collaborator for any publications that follow.
