Küschall/Invacare - Everest Wheelchair Design & Construction

This Swiss company was established in 1978 by Rainer Küschall, who became tetraplegic as a result of a swimming accident. With the support of his wife he developed his own design of wheelchair and as the company and its products grew, the Küshcall brand became world known. The business now has 3,000 m2 of manufacturing space, producing 12 products distributed world-wide through 70 associates

Rainer himself was a veteran of 7 Paralympics and appreciated the need of the disabled for maximum mobility and independence. His slogan became 'Find your lifestyle'.

Another of Glenn's long term supporters Páramo are supplying the team with clothing from their Directional System range.

Chosen for mountains and wild places, Páramo has gained an outstanding reputation in the nine years since it began. At first considered too radical to succeed, Páramo has now altered people's expectations of clothing systems. Páramo utilises unique fabric systems.

Adam Phones

Adam Phones were pioneers of mobile phone short term hire, renting out their first cellphone in 1988. They are based in London, England, and hire mobiles for use in all countries around the world.

Adam Phones have loaned the expedition an Iridium satellite phone.
